　　動植物“王國”

　　普洱市是中國西南邊陲一顆璀璨的綠海明珠，是北回歸線上面積最大的綠洲，素有“綠海明珠”、“動植物王國”和“天然氧吧”之美譽。氣候溫和，年平均氣溫18.9℃，冬無嚴寒，夏無酷暑，氣候宜人，被譽為“春天中的春天，春城中的春城”。在污染越來越嚴重的今天，普洱空氣質量狀況優良率依然保持在100%。中心城區每立方厘米空氣中負氧離子含量最高達12500多個，高出世界衛生組織規定的“清新空氣”標準12倍多。

　　普洱自然生態環境優良，生物多樣性豐富，生態生命系統完整，是云南省“動植物王國”的縮影，也是全球生物多樣性最為富集的地區之一。該市分布著16個自然保護區，擁有高等植物5600種、動物1500種，保存著全國近1/3的物種，被譽為云南省“動植物王國”的王宮。

　　With a history of thousand years, Pu’er has a unique tea culture. Along the ancient Tea and Horse Road (an ancient Chinese commercial passage), people could still hear the clang of the gong, the background music for cultural communication between Pu’er and the world.

　　“Tea Origin” of the World

　　In the mountains of Pu’er, there are many tea fossils, including those of the wide-leaf magnolia (35.4 million years old), Chinese magnolia (25 million years old). There are wild ancient tea plants that have grown for 2,700 years, arbor tea plants that are over a thousand years old, and a million mu of tea gardens that have been cultivated for 1,800 years. These five pieces that demonstrate the continual evolution of tea, have resulted in Pu’er being honored with the title of the world’s “Origin of Tea” by the International Tea Committee in 2013.

　　Health Paradise

　　Mr. Dewei Qian, the mayor of Pu’er said that Pu’er is a place undamaged by pollution, with gifts bountifully bestowed by nature and Heaven. The people in Pu’er must protect the environment as they would their own eyes, reduce interference with nature and the ecology and forge a model of harmony between humanity and nature. Pu’er aims to protect biological diversity through actions such as the establishment of a “canteen for elephants", “aid station for wild animals” and the implementation of protection activities for the black crested gibbon. This paradise belongs to animals, plants and microorganisms as well as humans.
