沙迦與迪拜相鄰，其獨特的地理位置使這里成為在迪拜工作的外來勞動力的主要居住地。沙迦市內有人造湖泊景觀，在其中一個湖泊中央有一個人工小島，就是湖泊中的村莊所在。村莊內體現了當地傳統的圖案，同時又極具現代氣息。島上的建筑大部分是幾何造型，圍繞中央的開放空間分布，帶有頂棚的開放區域能有效抵擋當地毒辣的太陽。村莊內多種元素相互融合，強化了周圍的自然景色。

　　Defined by the Rigid Geometry, it is arranged around the central public space and provides the roofed open spaces for protection against Sharjah’s Harsh Climate. The built and the Un-built engulf each other to form a comprehensive public open space providing a plethora of experiences. The detailed intricate egde of the built maximizes the view of the surrounding area. The outer most layer of the landscape integrates the built into the sea, and provides a series of public beaches for people.
